The city’s newest rooftop opened in the heart of DC last week with the grand opening of Jamestown LP’s The Observatory. A grand launch event brought the city’s social VIPs to the open air oasis with a direct view of the US Capitol as well as stunning and soaring views over the DC skyline.
The launch, catered by Fiola’s Maria Trabocchi and Executive Chef Stefano Frogerio tempted with a whole roasted suckling pig, hand slicked Iberico Ham, house made bread, and prawns, while live entertainment from Laissez Foure — a jazz quartet — played classic favorites like the fox trot and the waltz.
Notable attendees who came to soak up the view and soiree included Steve Yeager (Director of Jamestown LP), Caren Milman (Washingtonian voted “Best Calligrapher”), Alex Walker and Bill Miller (of MillerWalker DC real estate), Ryan Hayes (of Shakespeare Theatre Company), and Tommy McFly (94.7 The Tommy Show radio host).
