Movember ‘Staches Up at Del Friscos

Beginning November 1st around the world, Movember, an official global charity that brings awareness and funds to men’s prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health issues, is responsible for the “sprouting of millions of moustaches on men’s faces around the world.”

Since it’s inception in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia, Movember has grown exponentially. Last year in the United States alone, the Movember movement raised more than $21 million. For Movember 2013,  Washington, DC’s Del Frisco’s Grille on Pennsylvania Avenue is an inaugural participant of Movember.

To celebrate the start of Movember, the popular Del Frisco’s Grille hosted a Movember kick off party on November 1st, “Man Up ‘Stache Up,” that featured moustache-themed drinks, food, and entertainment. Guests sipped on Jack Daniels based cocktails, the “Lip Tickler” and “Stiff Upper Lip”  and enjoyed mini-shaved steak sandwiches, mo-shroom flatbreads and Philly fuzz cheesesteak eggrolls.

Don’t fret if you weren’t able to make the kick-off party, because Del Frisco’s Grille moustache you to stop by all month long! Enjoy the special Movember menu through November 30th … in which part of the proceeds will be donated to the charity.
