Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Just another day at the park…

To top off a wonderful (if not winning) sports weekend, I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the ballpark. The Nationals played the Mets, but lost, as they have sadly lost the last 5 of 6 games. But I will keep going, and cheering, because baseball is definitely my favorite sport.

Of course the highlight of the game was seeing Wily Mo Pena’s first homer as a Nat in the 4th inning. Welcome to Washington, Wily!

    What a fun weekend, Kate!

    … and I’ll be getting a chance to see the newest Nat for myself early next week as they visit Dodger Stadium! I wonder how just many homers Wily Mo will have by the time he gets here?
