Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Nothing complements British “gastro-pub” fare quite like a generous pour of scotch – especially when its on the house!

Urban Daddy and Johnnie Walker hosted a special Scotch whiskey tasting at Againn Tuesday evening, introducing the complete line-up of blended flavors (Johnnie Walker Red, Black, Green, Gold and even Blue) to Washington’s discerning palettes.

Those with a nose for drinking it neat included Popchips‘ Lauren Pomponio, Hengen Group‘s Louis Hengen and ABC7‘s Rebecca Cooper.  Others spotted sipping spirits included Mark Drapeau, Amanda Polk, and Winston Lord.  

UD’s Jeff Dufour said he was feeling Blue (Label) all night… especially as – post party – he had yet to try Johnnie Walker’s most elusive blend.   .   *Should one choose to send him a bottle, we hear holiday engraving is free.
