Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Georgetown House Tour Kicks Off with Patron’s Party

The longest running house tour in the nation kicked off with its annual Patron’s Party last Thursday evening at the home of Leslie and Perry Steiner.  Supporters and those with homes on the tour gathered to celebrate another year to benefit St. John’s Episcopal ministries.

This year’s tour features twelve homes, including a “green” home, a home previously owned by the woman who owned the Hope Diamond (Evelyn Walsh McClean) and even the narrowest home in Georgetown (and possibly DC)! 

The Georgetown House Tour legendary hostess, Frida Burling, greeted guests along with the night’s major patron, Leslie Steiner, author of Crazy Love.  Councilmember Jack Evans also stopped by to kick off the tour with residents of his Ward.
