Last week, The Liaison Capitol Hill hotel (in partnership with Washingtonian Magazine) unveiled a new rooftop ready for fun in the sun. Renovated with modern chic digs, guests took a dip in the pool and relaxed under cabanas with some sangria by their side.

Beyond the revamped exterior, Art and Soul chef Douglas Alexander released a versatile summer menu. You can order a flight of your favorite summer picnic foods or live extravagantly with a bottle of top shelf liquor.

While most hotel and rooftop pools in DC require an expensive night stay or high membership fees, a day pass is only $35 for a day of perfect, sunny bliss. (Plus after 5 pm, it’s free to get in!)
Although it’s not a complete perfect view of the sunset (somewhat blocked by buildings), the roof’s up-and-coming atmosphere certainly makes up for it.
