“Devolved” Director John Cregan on Popularity, Suing City Paper

DC native John Cregan debuted his latest film, “Devolved,” at a special screening at E Street Theatre Wednesday night.  The teen satire, which features Gary Entin, Lindsey Shaw and Chris Kattan, shows the dark side of High School cliques and argues that popularity breeds corruption.  “If you knew me in High School, I think it would be fairly obvious who a lot of people are in this movie,” he joked.
So did Cregan long to be popular?  It might have taken a lawsuit with the Washington City Paper to put him in league with some of the city’s most notable.
