Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. When the weather starts to change over… it’s shopping season!

d/eleven at the Wharf and Wylie Grey took advantage of ladies’ need for some Friday night fun to host a charity shopping event to benefiting Halcyon‘s creative programs.

Among those in attendance were event host and ballerina extraordinare Morgann Rose, Wylie Grey co-founder Rachel Grinney, Jeanhee Kim, and Star Morrad.

The women’s boutique is always filled with fashions, home good and gifts not found elsewhere in the region, but for this special night Wylie Grey brought an edited assortment of handpicked seasonal must haves.

Champagne and macaroons were an added bonus!
