Clinton Gives Activist Documentary a State Dept. Two Thumbs Up

Looks like Hillary Clinton is looking to maximize her office endorsements in her last days as Secretary of State.  Not only did she stop in to a State Department screening of “A Whisper to a Roar,” on Tuesday night,  but she had her testimonial read aloud — and livestreamed to Embassies and Consulates around the world.

“A riveting documentary” and “an inspiration to people everywhere,” was what she called the film, which follows democracy activists in Egypt, Malaysia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zimbabwe as they take risks to bring freedom to their people. She continued: The stories in A WHISPER TO A ROAR demonstrate that democracy is a product of tremendous sacrifice and that we all share in the responsibility to secure its promise for future generations.”

Other local screenings of the film directed by Ben Moses take place Wednesday, January 30th at 7:00pm at The National Archives and Thursday, January 31st at 6:00pm at The Catholic University of America.
