City Paper Fetes DC’s Best

There were toasts, tastes and tunes as the Washington City Paper saluted the best of the Beltway area at its 10th annual Best of D.C. celebration at the Organization of the American States Headquarters and Art Museum of the Americas.

More than 50 restaurants, mixologists, local breweries and distilleries, entertainment, and rare art exhibitions delighted guests as attendees explored the stately OAS building and accompanying Art Museum, which the event served to benefit.

Among the food favorites were tables for District Doughnut, Cuba Libre Restaurant, Pow Pow, and Blue 44.  Cocktails and craft brews were plentiful from the likes of Port City Brewing Company, 3 Stars Brewing Company, Catoctin Creek, and — editor’s favorite of the night — Oyamel with their traditional margarita.

A VIP hour included additional tastings from specialty bottles, signature cocktails, and savory bites from even more of the city’s hottest restaurants.
