Bobby's Burgers

The empire strikes back.  Bobby Flay‘s empire that is. The chef, restauranteur, author and TV personality finally noticed how much DC was loving our Good Stuff and brought his own burgers into the city for battle.

“At any time of the year, my favorite thing to eat is a cheeseburger,” said Flay, in town Tuesday to open his newest Bobby’s Burger Palace, (2121 K Street NW) the 6th of its kind with locations already in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

Flay throws down ten signature burgers and an equal number of accompanying milkshakes/malts, made to order, at an honestly “old-fashioned” burger bar — definitely dated in looks, though not in service.

Ask for ’em topless if you’re still in on the anti-carb craze.  Or order ’em crunchified if you like ’em Flay’s way:  “My side of chips always ended up in my burger!”  And in a couple of weeks, when the liquor license is finalized, order ’em the best way possible… with a beer.
