Infomercial personality Matthew Lesko, the guy in the question mark suit, debuted an award-winning behind-the-scenes documentary about his zany life and mission Sunday at the DC Independent Film Festival in Rosslyn. “The Gospel According to Matthew” was created by upstart filmmaker Sofian Khan, using the same sources Lesko has been pitching tirelessly for more than 30 years – government funds.
“When I was younger, I would have killed for this,” said the fully question-mark clad speaker earlier in the day he presented an intimate seminar discussion on finding funding for the arts. “The key to success is staying in business long enough until you figure it out – and learning the system so that you spend the least amount of money possible.”
