Looking for What Summer Tastes Like? Arlington’s Smokecraft Modern Barbecue

Summer means its barbeque season! But if you’re like us, messing with the charcoal or finding a spot to stash your smoker is a no-go. That’s why when we found the new Smokecraft Modern Barbecue (1051 N Highland St.), which opened in Arlington at the end of July, we started salivating.
Owner and Pitmaster Andrew Darneille won over 70 awards for his ‘que last year alone. He and his Executive Sous Chef William Burke specialize in low and slow barbecue and they use an assortment of woods to create various mouthwatering flavors.

We suggest getting started with some smoked avocado deviled eggs and duroc pork belly burnt ends before tucking into St. Louis ribs or applewood-smoked Chesapeake crab cakes. But save room!! S’mores are also a summer staple, and you’re going to need to savor every bite of Smokecraft’s version… a Cedar Plank Chocolate Brownie.
Back away from that hot and smokey grill. Dine-in, takeout, or have Smokecraft Modern Barbecue delivered Monday through Thursday from 11am to 10pm, Fridays from 11am to 11pm, Saturdays from 10am to 11pm, and Sundays from 10am to 10pm.
