Royal Ascot Garden Party
For those unable to travel to the UK for Royal Ascot this June, Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown invites guests to experience the tradition locally at its Royal Ascot Garden Party. On Thursday, June 18, from 3 to 6pm, the hotel’s Loggia and courtyard garden will be transformed into an elegant Royal Ascot enclosure.
Renowned as one of the most celebrated events of the British summer social and sporting season, Royal Ascot spans five spectacular days of world-class horse racing, high fashion, pageantry, and exceptional cuisine. Guests at Fairmont’s Royal Ascot Garden Party will enjoy a similarly refined experience,
The afternoon begins with a ceremonial kickoff featuring an authentic Scottish bagpiper and a spirited champagne sabering. All guests will be treated to:
- Bottomless Domaine Chandon & Hendrick’s Royal Ascot cocktails from 3 to 4:30pm
- Royal afternoon tea fare from 3 to 5pm
- Viewing highlights on large screens from Royal Ascot’s iconic Ladies’ Day
- Luxury vehicles showcased by Land Rover of Alexandria*
- Life-sized royal cutouts for whimsical photo opportunities
- Themed staff attire to enhance the immersive experience
Guests donning hats, fascinators and Ascot-inspired attire will have the opportunity to win prizes for the most authentic, fabulous and over-the-top looks, assessed by celebrity judges.
Culinary offerings, by Executive Chef Jaime Montes de Oca and Executive Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton, are inspired by royal favorites.
Adding to the experience, milliner Elena Wittman of ArtofHats Studio will present the art of hat-making, offering headpieces for purchase and styling insights for various occasions.
At 5pm, prizes will be awarded for the best fascinators, hats, and overall attire. Prizes include overnight stays, Sunday brunch, cocktails, and curated gift bags, courtesy of Fairmont and Land Rover of Alexandria.
Tickets available via Ticket Spice are $65 per person, inclusive of:
- Bottomless sparkling wine and specialty cocktails – 3 to 4:30pm
- English tea fare – 3 to 5pm
