Bar Chinois Now Open in National Landing

Bar Chinois has opened its second location in National Landing (244 19th Ct S, Arlington, VA 22202). Just as in DC, this Bar Chinois location blends Chinese cuisine with French influences — now in Northern Virginia.

“Our goal is to create the same energetic experience that brings people together,” said Dean Mosones, co-owner of Bar Chinois. “Offering bold flavors, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality that keep guests coming back.”

The menu at Bar Chinois National Landing showcases the bold flavors and creative dishes that have made its DC flagship a sought after dining destination. Guests can indulge in the Red Chili Wontons, delicate pork and shrimp dumplings drenched in a fragrant garlic-chili oil sauce with scallions and soy vinaigrette.

The Crab Rangoon delivers a perfect balance of crispiness and creaminess, featuring golden-fried wontons filled with crab and cream cheese, finished with apricot duck sauce and toasted sesame. The 1970’s Garlic Noodles offer a rich, umami-packed experience with egg noodles tossed in a luscious combination of shiitake mushrooms, spinach, garlic butter, parmesan, and a signature chef’s soy sauce.

Another standout, the Gyoza De Boeuf, reimagines a classic dumpling with a French-inspired twist, featuring a decadent filling of beef, gruyĂšre, and Swiss cheese, served with pickled onions and a velvety cilantro aioli.

As for Bar Chinois’ cocktail offerings, the vibrant Lucky Dragon blends Sorgin Grapefruit Gin with Doctor Bird Rum, dragonfruit, passionfruit, pineapple amaro, ginger-honey, lemon, and clarified milk, creating a refreshing yet complex sip. For a smoky and fruit-forward profile, the Humble Cobbler combines Mal Bien Limƍn Mezcal with peach, GenĂ©py des Alpes, and lime, striking the perfect balance of warmth and brightness.

Those with a taste for something subtly sweet often gravitate toward the Iron Goddess, an indulgent mix of IG tea-infused Wild Turkey Bourbon, Montenegro, pimento dram, blackstrap & cherry vanilla bitters and egg white.

Complementing these standout cocktails is a thoughtfully curated French wine list.

The National Landing location will be open seven days a week from 5pm to 11pm, with its popular happy hour offered daily from 5pm to 7pm, featuring half-priced cocktails and $1 dumplings.
