Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’re Invited: 5th Annual Magic & Miracles

Experience the magic of opportunity — and the miracle of the human spirit — at the 5th annual “Magic & Miracles,” an evening to benefit Ready, Willing & Working (RWW) at the Atlas Performing Arts Center on November 29th.

This celebratory charitable event, which helps RWW to empower individuals to “break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency and criminal recidivism through a residential, paid-work rehabilitation program,” will feature entertainment by Magician/Mind Reader Josh Norris, a silent auction, heavy hor d’oeuvres, and several notable guest speakers, including George and Harriet McDonald of The Doe Fund in New York City.

Attendees will even get to try a signature dish by TopChef Contender Bart Vandaele of Belga Cafe!
