New Vintage Jazz & Wine Festival Introduced

Today, Chris4Life, along with CapitalBop, the Petworth Jazz Project and Art Whino Gallery announced a new DC festival for New Vintage Jazz & Wine.  The audibly oenophilic event, to be held at the Fairgrounds near Nationals Park on August 24th, will offer samplings of dozens of wines, modern and classic jazz performed live, and two live painting stations where artists will create large scale pieces for silent auction.

Celebrating modern music, which – like wine – can grow more complex and rewarding as it matures, the inaugural festival uncorks home-grown artists, as well as talents from around the country, while working with Chris4Life in its efforts to permanently eliminate the threat of colon cancer through discovery of a cure.

Here’s the festival schedule:
2:30 – Tarus Mateen
3:15 – Kris Funn & Corner Store
4:15 – Todd Marcus Quartet
5:15 – Christie Dashiell Quartet
6:15 – Donvonte McCoy Quartet, Feat. Heidi Martin
7:15 – The Funk Ark
8:30 – Rafiq Bhatia
