Special Invite: Georgetown House Tour

Because you’ve always wanted to go inside some of the cities most historic homes.  And this way is legal.

The 82nd annual Georgetown House Tour takes place this weekend, offering up nine of the neighborhood’s most beautiful homes and their impressive gardens for an at-your-own-pace parade of perusal.  Whether you’re a fan of architecture, a new couple looking for decorating ideas, or a nosy neighbor wondering if you’re keeping up with the Jones’, from 11 AM – 5 PM, set your own route (map provided) and start snooping!

You’ll see smart glass walls, built-in dog beds, and a wrought-iron staircase as you try to guess which house is the one that’s haunted… which is the home of the last private owner of the Hope Diamond… and which merited a twelve page spread in the most recent issue of Veranda Magazine!

Remember that a ticket to this oldest House Tour in the country ($50) supports the community work of St. John’s Episcopal Church, and so the historic church welcomes all ticketed patrons to enjoy the famous end of tour Parish Tea in Blake Hall any time between 2 and 5 PM. for tea sandwiches, sweets and a general meet-and-greet.
