White House Garden & Grounds Tour

It’s not quite the Easter Egg Roll, but it is a chance to get inside the gate and take a stroll on the nation’s front lawn.

The White House Garden and Grounds Tour is this Saturday and Sunday, April 18th (10:00 – 4:00) and 19th (11:00 – 3:00). The tour, which has been a tradition since 1972, begins at Sherman Park (south of the Treasury Building) and includes the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden, the Children’s Garden and the South Lawn of the White House. The White House Kitchen Garden, a new addition to the South Lawn, will be viewable from a distance.

*Admission is free, but timed tickets are required, distributed beginning at 8 AM at the Ellipse Pavillion behind the White House. Limit–one ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. **Garden tours will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
