WHAT: The Kelvin, Navy Yard’s most vibrant and exciting residential building, is getting warm and fuzzy this holiday season with activities that celebrate two of our favorite things: pets and sweaters! Enjoy some much-needed holiday cheer with a festive pet photoshoot on The Kelvin’s rooftop and an ugly sweater night at The Kelvin and The Bullpen. Even though baseball season is over, guests can still enjoy incredible views of the stadium and the fun of the Bullpen through these safe, socially distant engagements. Both of these free activations are reservation-only to manage attendance size, and more details can be found below.

WHEN:

• Holiday Pet Portraits at The Kelvin – Saturday, December 12th, 1:00-4:00pm: Bring your furry friend to The Kelvin for a photo session on our spectacular roof, with views directly into Nats Stadium. Select a time slot to visit The Kelvin and get your pup’s picture taken while you treat yourself to a hot cocoa bar and grab treats for your dog to take home with you!

WHEN:

• Ugly Sweater Night with The Bullpen- Saturday, December 17th, 4:00-8:00pm: Grab your BFF and an ugly sweater to head to The Kelvin for a tour of the new luxury apartments located right outside of Nats Stadium. Inside The Kelvin, you’ll find photo opportunities for you and your friends and can head to the rooftop for the ultimate view of Nats Stadium. Use your team photo as your ticket to The Bullpen, where you can cash in for a free drink, courtesy of The Kelvin! This event is 21+ and a valid ID is required for entry.

MATZOBALL is hosting the largest Jewish singles speed dating experience on Christmas Eve at 9 pm. The virtual event will be held in 17 cities across five countries. Restrictions may keep the nightclubs closed, but it can’t stop people from getting dressed up for a chance to meet their soul mate online. The company has enabled special technology to help make the night a hit for all who participate, giving people a chance to meet Jewish singles in their geographic area.

MATZOBALL has held their famous Jewish singles party every year since 1987. Each year, it’s held on one night in select cities around the country. The holiday party is attended by Jewish singles looking to make the perfect match. MATZOBALL has a long reputation of bringing Jewish singles together, whether for one fun-filled night, for a friendship, or for a long lasting romantic relationship. Annually, there have been over 400,000 people who have attended the party.

This year, the MATZOBALL will be completely online due to COVID protocols. Participants can purchase their ticket to the event, get dressed up, and engage in a fun and festive speed dating experience like no other. The event will feature Regional Video Speed Dating, which will include pre-screened eligible singles. All of the speed dates will be held in a one-on-one setting.

The event will begin at 9 pm and will be broken down by region and age range. Each event will guarantee a minimum of 20-30, 5-minute dates, where the daters will then have the opportunity to anonymously choose who they felt they had a connection with. If the connection is mutual, they will be notified via email of their mutual connections 15 minutes after the event and will be given the opportunity to connect again.

Tickets to the event are $35, plus a $5 processing fee per person for the Christmas Eve event, and $55, plus a $5 processing fee for the professional’s speed dating event on Christmas Day. A combination ticket to participate in both events can be purchased for $75, plus a $5 processing fee. Age ranges people can choose from include 21-27, 28-35, 36-49, and 50+.

According to Guinness World Records, the largest known speed dating event, which drew 964 people, occurred on February 14, 2019, Valentine’s Day, in Dublin, Ireland. Matzoball anticipates five times as many people will participate in their event. This gives people the opportunity to help set a world record and find a match all at the same time.

Those who purchase a ticket to the hottest virtual party will receive a unique log-in link 24 hours before the event. They will be able to narrow their search by choosing their age and regional preferences. The event will also use fast match technology for those who feel they made a connection with someone. There will be an additional online speed dating event for professionals held on Christmas Day at 3 pm.  Space for this event is limited. Celebrate the holidays with loved ones from afar this season with a special Atlas Brew Works virtual tasting on New Year’s Day. On Friday, January 1, the solar-powered craft brewery will offer an intimate online tasting for guests to safely join the fun.

Tasting kits start at $20 and include the guided tasting, a mixed six-pack of Atlas’ core and limited release craft beers, with the option to add additional six-packs, tasting glasses, hand sanitizer, koozies, and other swag for an additional fee. Atlas Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room General Manager Alec Rivera and Head Brewer Daniel Vilarrubi will walk fans through the brews while answering any tasting questions they might have.
