Experts The Image, LLC. presents the 3rd Annual Night of 100 Stars Fashion Celebration produced and directed by Mr. Harvey Star Washington on Sunday, April 21st, 2013.  This fashion show is of high premier capacity as it is held at one of the largest venues in the District of Columbia, The Walter E. Convention Center. It will also feature top couture designers from New York and DC as well as featured guest celebrity model Traci Braxton.

As part of Mr. Washington’s philanthropic contribution back to the community, he will be donating a significant portion of sales to Dreams for Kids DC!

Dreams for Kids DC is a local non-profit benefiting the local community through adaptive sports clinics for at-risk and homeless youth, and children with disabilities.  They are dedicated to making dreams come true one child at a time, through mentoring and community based involvement.  Dreams for Kids meets the needs of a demographic often forgotten.  They choose to see the potential in every child regardless of mental or physical impairment.  While often rejected from an athletic arena of participation in sports and physically demanding activities, Dreams for Kids DC gives these children the opportunity to go beyond their limits and achieve higher goals.  Dreams for Kids is honored to be part of the fashion show.  The organization has chosen 6 children to walk in a special scene dedicated to the organization.  We are extending this e-mail to everyone in various networks that would be interested in attending the show.  Tickets can be purchased through Lauren Morgan the show production manager directly or online at www.harveystarwashington.com.

Fashion for a Cure @ The Huxley
Apr 28 @ 9:00 PM – Apr 29 @ 12:00 AM

On Sunday, April 28, Woman of the Year (WOY) candidate Roxana Muzzammel will be hosting a fashion show at the Huxley from 5 – 8 p.m. to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Spanish fashion brand Hoss Intropia will feature its designs at the show.

The fashion show, “Fashion for a Cure,” is a unique opportunity to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma society’s lifesaving blood cancer research. Funds raised will go to blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. Today, hundreds of thousands of children are battling leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma. Fashion for a Cure seeks to address this dire demographic with the support they need.

Spanish brand, Hoss Intropia will feature its collection at the show. Hoss Intropia’s philosophyrests on the concept of “intropia,” a term which comes from a combination of the words introspection and utopia.  Hoss Intropia stands for striving for a dream, a vital desire. According to this concept, Hoss Intropia is perfect as the main fashion brand for the show, because it supports the LLS dream that one day there will be a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Haute Heritage will also feature its collection. Haute Heritage is a unique and versatile women’s wear line that combines global artisan traditions with modern, sophisticated styles. Baltimore nominee for LLS’ Man of the Year campaign and award-winning designer Christopher Schafer will feature his men’s wear collection at the show also.

Charitable minded, MWOY candidate Muzzammel is no stranger to supporting LLS. In 2012, Muzzammel became involved with LLS after her father passed away from leukemia.Muzzammel participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night walk to raise money and build public awareness about blood cancers.

Presently, Muzzammel is focused on showing support in memory of her father, but also for the many children who are blood cancer survivors. This year, Muzzammel’s charitable efforts come just before her fashion show, Fashion for a Cure.

“My support goes out to those children effected by leukemia, their families and loved ones,” says Muzzammel. “By participating in the Man & Woman of the Year campaign, I hope to show my support for those young blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. I challenge the people of the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to attend this fundraiser and show their support and experience an evening of food, fashion, and fun.”
