Saturday, August 17, 2019 marks the third time that syndicated radio show and podcast DC Music Rocks presents its annual festival at 9:30 Club, five of the best and most diverse performers in the greater metropolitan area will perform, including: Eli Lev Collective, More AM Than FM, Sub Radio, Iza Flo, and Los Empresarios. These powerhouse groups will be complemented by a diverse lineup of singer/songwriters that are making incredible contributions to the local and international music communities such as Jasmine Gillison, Jahnel Daliya, Daniel Warren Hill, Karen Jonas, Lauren Calve, and Gabrielle Zwi.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit DC youth via non-profit organization The Musicianship. Thanks to The Musicianship, The Wammie Awards recently celebrated thirty-one years recognizing DC area musicians for their artistic works. The Musicianship also provides access to after school programs, summer programs, and other opportunities for inner-city youth.
