Tory Burch Opens in Tysons Galleria, Designer Set to "Come Home" this Fall

Walking into the new Tory Burch boutique in Tysons Galleria is like walking into Tory’s own home, according to Kerry-Lynne Carrera, Manager of Public Relations for the brand.  Well-ordered rows of versatile preppy pieces, the green and purple decor, and those iconic orange doors…
“Her favorite color is orange.  In fact, her library in Manhattan is such bright orange that you can see it shining down on the street!  It’s a signature.”  And like all of Tory Burch’s signatures, it sells.
Those ubiquitous buckles, made famous by the Reva shoe (a first in the collection named for the designer’s mother) are peppered throughout the store. (Her Dad, “Buddy,” also has designs, but “Mom’s” the top seller!)  Burch’s favorite cateye glasses – that she either stockpiles or has a habit of losing: “She has like four pair!” – are the first off the shelves.  And her personal wardrobe picks turn into immediate customer purchases.  “The orange jean was definitely one of Tory’s favorites this season,” Carrera chimes in.  Suffice to say, there remained but a single pair to be found in the store.

Even with the brand’s rapid expansion – Burch now has 51 stores in the United States and is considering creating a collection of home goods – it seems that touch of self is equally as important to the designers’ sales as to her stores.  “It’s a lifestyle brand,” says Carrera.  “Tory – and her customers – should feel at home here.”
The designer plans a “Homecoming” to her Tysons store for the first time this Fall.
