Perhaps best known for breezy resort wear, Calypso St. Barth opened its first DC area store in Georgetown earlier this month, tempting those in 
the District to dream of uber-trendiness for their next time away.
In the space that used to be both Salon Rafik and an AT&T Wireless, the spacious Calypso now features 
women’s apparel and home selections for all seasons — with an emphasis on the warmer weather wear that gave the brand its beginnings.
The DC branch of Fashion Group International was among the first to preview the store, inviting members and style savvy guests to see and shop the store within days of its public opening.
Among those who sipped and shopped were Fresh FM’s Kelly Collis, Gilt City’s Marissa Schneider, Svelte LLC’s Elaine Mensah and writer Jill Hudson Neal.
