Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. The Down and Dirty: Dirty Bar Opens in Dupont

Looking to dig up some dirt on the latest seductive spot to open in Dupont Circle?  We’ve done the dirty work for you… stopping in to the first of Dirty Bar’s “soft-opening” evenings, which continue throughout Labor day weekend. 

The Good:  It’s a Moulin Rouge inspired lounge of lust, complete with sexy swing, corsets (on the waitresses) and a cage (for dancers… and whatever else you dream up in that dirty mind). 
The Bad:  Those three flights of stairs are a dirty shame, but will prep your glutes for some dirty dancing! 
The Dirty: Dirty Bar is attached, but with an unaffiliated atmosphere, to Dirty Martini below.  It’s (at least starting out) a place for speakeasy style sophistication… and a hint of debauchery.
A place where untamed and uninhibited aren’t dirty words.
*Preview this place all weekend!  Dirty Bar opens at 9 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday Labor Day weekend.  Look for a nosh menu and an expansive patio opening in October.
