Sun and Sailing: the 18th Annual Leukemia Cup

Over 70 boats participated in the National Capital Area’s 18th annual Leukemia Cup regatta this weekend, pledging a day of sun and sails to help fund bloodcancer research, patient services and education programs.

As class races continued throughout the day, VIP sponors, major donors and media caught up with the racers on a spectator cruise aboard the Harbour Belle before joining the teams and Honorary young Skippers for a post-race celebration at Indigo Landing. 

We caught up with one of the youngest participants on board the Harbour Belle during its VIP excursion for supporters during Saturday’s LLS regatta and let him share how he reached his fundraising goal on the boat!
