Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Attendees at the Luke’s Wing’s annual Endless Summer event (a fundraiser for their wounded warrior efforts) at L2 Lounge Thursday night may have thought they caught a glimpse of Bill Maher dancing to the Beach Boys. Doppelganger Daniel Verkman, a software engineer at Boeing, says he’s been playing the part for years!
