SOMEjrGala

Friday night at the Corcoran some people ate (and danced, drank, and socialized) So Others Might Eat. It was the younger (or Junior) of two annual galas to benefit SOME, a private non-profit organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of the nation’s capital.

The event sold out at over 800, filling the Corcoran’s atrium and spilling up the stairs to a VIP area overlooking a crowded dancefloor (where I watched my friends Samantha Dredge and Chandler Lockhart perform with their SickFeed band). All this was in support of and to benefit renovations at Thea Bowman House, SOME’s transitional housing program for formerly homeless and poor families with children.
Afterwards, groups gathered at Mie n Yu or geared up for a late night at L2 lounge.
