Rag & Bone VIP Opening Draws "Ambassadors"

Washington once worried about the British coming.  Now they arrive with accolades!
Rag &
Bone
managing partners Marcus Wainwright and
David Neville (2010 Council of Fashion Designers of Amerca award winners) celebrated
the opening of their
first US store outside
of New York
with
a
private reception and unveiling of the
DC DIY Project.
DIY??!  No one is sewing their own shirt here.  The local campaign is a nod to that done in New York (Winter 2011) with
four
models
that
styled
and
shot
their
own
photos
in
pieces from the British pair.  “Rather than do what ever other brand does and have a high-end photographer take very polished shot, we thought, ‘Let’s flip it on its head and get the people to take over.’ We wanted it to be very real,” said Wainwright (pictured here with Washington Ballet Artistic Director Septime Webre).

25 local DIY Ambasadors, including David Sutphen, Arash Shirazi, Amanda Polk, Anton Papich, and Kristen Guiter were chosen to promote the brand mission: real people nin understated and wearable clothes during their real, everyday lives.
