PM @ the TM: Urban Picnic

In the spirit of the Textile Museum‘s latest exhibition “Green: the Color and the Cause,” Washingtonians started the summer off right with an evening picnic in the museum’s hidden garden.  In partnership with the Pink Line Project, picnic-er’s enjoyed the lawn for games, a round of beach blanket bingo, live music, drinks, market treats and live music.

The Textile Museum, established in 1925 by George Hewitt Myers, is an international center for the exhibition, study , collection and preservation of textile arts. Thursday’s guests explored it’s newest exhibit on how artists are reacting to the “green” movement and what the color has meant to cultures throughout the ages.
