One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila…Finn??!

It was a few days past Cinco de Mayo, but no one in the room had recovered from a temptation for tequila.  Four courses and countless agave craft cocktails into the evening, even the salt and lime would succumb.

The first – and only?! – meeting of the Patron Secret Dining Society took place Friday night in an unlikely, but perfectly paradisal spot: The Finnish Embassy.  Put on by Urban Daddy, the masculine voice of local lore delivered to e-mail inboxes daily, the event was a confidential gathering of the city’s elite and influential… under the guise of a tequila shooting match.  Yet even in the Finnish land of vodka and social style setters, Patron held the power.

This clandestine meeting of sustenance and spirits brought together Finnish Ambassador Pekka Lintu and wife Laurel Colless (at left with DC Urban Daddy writer Jeff Dufour) with such notables as Washington Kastles owner Mark Ein, Ashcroft Group‘s Juleanna Glover, Lord & Associates’ Winston Lord, Blonde Charity Mafia’s Katherine Kennedy (above with Arash Shirazi), Muleh‘s Christopher Reiter, Miss DC 2008/IT.com‘s Kate Marie Grinold, Hot 99.5‘s Samy K. and BYT.com Editrix Svetlana Legetic to taste Next Food Network Star contender Teddy Folkman‘s finest food and accompanying tequila toasts.
