Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. The Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens transformed into DC’s runway for fashion en vogue Saturday evening to fete Alliance Francaise/Art Soirees first-ever Nuit de la Mode as designers Marina Asta, Camille Pascal, and Elizabeth St. John showcased their latest pieces.

The sold-out event drew a strong crowd of 300 guests who were able to freely stroll around the museum and gardens throughout the night. VIP ticket holders sampled hors d’ourves from Café Assorti and Cafe Bonaparte and toasted with champagne flutes while listening to the live violin performance of Solomia Gorokhivska.
