Jason Baustin, the independent filmmaker best known for directing and editing the cult-classic horror/comedy Cowboy Killer, released his latest short, Gone Forever, this weekend at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring. Baustin’s film, which completes the story of a young newlywed widower haunted with guilt in less than 30 minutes, is part of a trend in filmmaking which he attributes to the “YouTube” generation.
