H Street Is Getting a New Betting Spot/Bakery

In October 2021 KSM was on hand as DC’s first independent sportsbook opened in Adams Morgan.  Now Grand Central has opened its second DC location on H Street in Northeast.

Grand Central Sportsbook and Café opened at 625 H Street NE with a Class B license, meaning that all ticket winnings, regardless of amount, can be redeemed on-site. The venue has four sports betting kiosks and one ticket window where bets can be placed. Odds will be provided by Elys Game Technology Corp.

But don’t expect to make your bets with a side of bar food or alcoholic beverages. Instead, this location serves as more of a lingering lunch spot serving grab-and-go sandwiches, packaged meats, snacks and charcuterie, as well as chips, bottled sodas, sports and energy drinks.

And Tissy Sweets Bakery will also offer a variety of pastries, paying it forward by donating a portion of proceeds to their Spotlight program, which supports local children with special needs.

Grand Central Sportsbook & Cafe will open for sports betting and food and beverage, 7 days a week from 12am – 9pm, with hours expanding and fluctuating for popular sporting events — such as March Madness.
