October 26th was proclaimed Good Hair Day in the District of Columbia, due to the efforts of Dennis Roche, owner of Roche Salon. On this day, beauty salon owners are encouraged to help raise money for Breast Cancer research funding. Dennis is especially interested in this cause as it has touched his family. His wife is a survivor!
To get in on the fun, Cabanas on the Georgetown waterfront assisted in hosting an event to celebrate Good Hair Day. Men took turns styling the women’s hair and learning styling tips for their own “manes.” Yes, I got my hair done, too!
