Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Yep, that was David Seidler, screenwriter for “The King’s Speech,” spotted around town this weekend. The Academy Award winner, who grew up as a stutterer himself, was a keynote speaker at the 14th annual FRIENDS Convention, put on by the National Association of Young People Who Stutter, July 21-23rd at the Embassy Suites.
