Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. This summer, National Geographic is hosting a series of Greek themed events in honor of our new exhibit, The Greeks- Agamemnon to Alexander the Great. National Geographic is hosting “The Geeks” event next week to celebrate the ancient Greeks’ discoveries in science, math and history. This event will feature food, happy hour, and stories from six National Geographic Young Explorers fresh from the field. Here are all of the details:
