Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. DC Wine Week Uncorks at Veritas

A very full glass of wine week festivities was poured Saturday night at Veritas Wine Bar.  The DC Wine Week 2013 Kick Off party — themed “Veritas VIP: Veni Vidi Vino,” invited members of the media, wine industry and other personalities to join Veritas Wine Director Jamie Smith for a night of tasting and toasting.

Guests sipped seven varietals (paired with charcuterie): beginning with sparkling whites, continuing with robust reds and lapping up last with a sparkling white apéritif.

The people, the places and the pours are what this third annual DC Wine Week is all about… celebrating all things wine.  Great grape get togethers continue throughout the District all week—from Oysters and Wine to an Italian Wine Fest, and Vino and Bocce outdoors…
