Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

City Perch Goes Garden-to-Glass This Month

You’re into Farm-To-Table, so why not Garden-To-Glass?!  Throughout the month of September, Bethesda’s City Perch is shaking up some delicious Screen Shot 2015-09-06 at 1.08.32 PMGarden-to-Glass craft cocktails!

Because they know it’ll be impossible to choose between them, City Perch’s master mixologist Adam Seger will make up a special flight of four 5oz. creations using garden-fresh ingredients like basil and fennel and gorgeously garnished with fresh herbs and fruits.  All of this for only $11! 

·       Fennel Gin & Tonic: tonic, topped with gin, garnished with fennel slice

·       Apple Margarita: Margarita batch, topped with diced apples

·       Vodka Spiked Strawberry Lemonade: topped with vodka, garnished with mint sprig

·       Basil Rum Punch: soda, El Corazon, topped with rum, basil leaf
