Stanley Cup Champion Tom Wilson happened upon INDOCHINO, on his own, back in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. Since the NHL requires that athletes wear suits on games days, the brand’s made-to-measure offerings were a perfect fit for his needs, and Wilson has often been seen sporting his INDOCHINO wardrobe around DC.

And now it’s even easier for him to suit up before he skates out — the brand recently opened its 50th new showroom in Georgetown.

“I love… that I can turn to INDOCHINO for a custom suit that fits me perfectly,” Wilson said, while selecting some fresh wardrobe items at the brand’s new two-level DC store. “I get to pick from an endless selection of fabrics, linings and details to add my personal style to each game day.”

Not long ago, Wilson’s might have been a harder story to tell.  He might not have stumbled into a brick-and-mortar INDOCHINO, since it started as an online-only retailer. And for the hockey player to now have 50 stores to shop in… Well, that’s an unprecedented growth spurt to be sure.

“We’re finding that offering an in-person experience plays an integral role in growing a legion of loyal fans,” says INDOCHINO President and CEO Drew Green, explaining why DC’s Georgetown store was the brand’s 13th new shop to open in 2019 alone.

Known for its suits, but also shirts, chinos, and outwear at a reasonable price point — while still made to exact measurements — INDOCHINO’s bounty of fresh showrooms aren’t the only thing that’s new.

DC fashionables will discover a line of customizable short- and long-sleeve casual shirts; soon, a custom fabric collection curated in partnership with another sports-star-turned-INDOCHINO-innovator, NBA’s RJ Barrett will be unveiled; and DC’s male shoppers will love that INDOCHINO has doubled down on its coat collection, of which Tom Wilson is a fan.

Wilson’s recent shopping spree in Georgetown ended with the Caps’ Winger not only suiting up, but also adding a popular custom Heartford Camel Overcoat to his winter wardrobe.
