Calico Fall Festival
Crunchy leaves. Spiced cider. Chunky sweaters. Pumpkin everything. Calico will once again celebrate the changing of the seasons with its 6th Annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 11 from 1pm to 9pm. For the sixth year, the urban backyard in Blagden Alley once again hosts its welcome party for cooler weather, with a free-to-attend Sunday afternoon fall fest complete with pumpkin painting, live music, seasonal cocktails, cider tastings, autumnal fare and more festive fun.
There’s no need to head to the pumpkin patch this season. Guests can pick their very own pumpkins from Calico’s pop-up patch and decorate them with complimentary painting supplies.
The fall fest will serve as the preview of Calico’s new seasonal menu, featuring autumnal cookout fare from Chef Nathan Beauchamp, such as housemade fried apple hand pies with caramel.
To wash it all down, Calico will be serving up an array of fall-inspired drinks, from spiked pumpkin spice lattes, hard cider spritzes and Mars Iwai Rye Maple Syrup Old Fashioneds, to Oktoberfest and seasonal beers, along with non-alcoholic apple cider. Adults 21 and over can also enjoy complimentary Potter’s Craft Cider tastings from 2 to 6 p.m.
Throughout the afternoon, live acoustic music will provide the soundtrack to the festivities (3-6pm), while a festive photo area inside Calico’s antique greenhouse will be transformed with fall foliage and pumpkins, creating a seasonal backdrop for photos.
And the gourd fun doesn’t end on October 11. Calico will host additional pumpkin picking and painting parties on Sundays, October 18 and 25, giving guests more opportunities to embrace the season in the urban backyard.
