Bill Nack: Writing the Story of Secretariat

He admits to revering horses more than human athletes- and even carried a photo of 1955 Kentucky Derby winner, Swaps, around in his wallet for a time.

So who better to write the story of the chestnut colt named Secretariat who would become the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years?
Award winning journalist Bill Nack (above with wife), who lives in Washington, DC, was on hand Monday evening in Arlington’s Turnberry Tower Penthouse Suite for a discussion and book signing (they sold out!) of his latest book, Secretariat: The Making of a Champion, the rights to which were purchased by Disney for its newly released film, starring Diane Lane, John Malkovich and Kevin Connolly.
