Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. DC’a chic and charitable stopped in to Georgetown’s Charm Boutique Tuesday evening for sips, sweets and shopping to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Earrings, cuffs and candles were the hot items of the evening.
Trying turned to buying surrounded by the baubles and bling – and that rabbit fur loupe! A percentage of all purchases were donated to the organization’s breast cancer awareness and research efforts.
