A Washington woman knows that a great haircut can be an artistic masterpiece. So it was about time that art appreciation got out of the gallery and into the salon!
Last Thursday, Art Soiree and David Rios Salon & Spa partnered to bring portrait paintings to life for an inaugural Salon After Hours, a series dedicated to the unique talents of those in the beauty industry.
Some of the world’s most celebrated queens from the canvas, think Frida Khalo, Queen Elizabeth, Mona Lisa — or, at least, imitations of these iconic images — rocked the runway to 
beats by DJ Fotifo as attendees sipped wine and enjoyed savory appetizers.
But seeing mane masterpieces on the catwalk isn’t as cool without snagging some of that style for yourself. Salon Soiree guests left with free consultation gift certificates, hair treatments… and one lucky girl got to take home a Kerastase basket worth over $150!
