Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Alchimie Forever

I love trying new products, so it was a real treat for me when Rachel Johnson of Alchimie Forever sent me some antioxidant refining scrub from the shop at 2440 M Street NW. I’ve been using it the recommended once or twice weekly now for about a month and can honestly tell you how happy I am with my skin (yes, even with all of my anxieties and the serious stress I put my skin through every day!).

The Excimer and scrub is a silky exfoliant that claims to leave the skin soft and glowing – and it does! It is made from cranberries, lychee, papaya, rosemary, and shea butter (wow, if only it was edible!!), and exfoliates, nourishes and protects the skin against environmental stress, leaving skin hydrated, protected, and surprisingly soft.
