‘Room to Rebloom’ Inspires Through Interiors
Earlier this month, Room to Rebloom held its fourth annual fundraising event, “Rebloom on the Roof,” to support survivors of domestic violence. On view were the wonderful cityscape, as well as the nonprofit’s mission to empower women and families in the National Capital Area who have been victims of domestic violence by providing them with design services and other resources to create beautiful home environments and help rebuild their lives.
Barry Dixon, Principal Interior Designer, Barry Dixon Inc. and Will Thomas, Emmy-Winning Journalist, co-hosted the event at Fathom Gallery, leading a “Raise the Paddle” live auction.
Tracy Schlegal and Kelcey Huff, Owners of Waterlily Interiors, then addressed guests by recounting their inspirational experience with Room to Rebloom, as they designed the charity’s most recent home space for a mother and her two children.
Guest enjoyed signature cocktails from Lyon Distilling Co., drinks from DC Modern Luxury and light fare from Casa Luca by renowned DC Chef Fabio Trabocchi as they bid on auction items to include art, plane tickets, boat tours of the Potomac, and more. The event successfully raised enough money to outfit an entire apartment for a survivor of domestic violence.
