Have Tea
There are a number of Cherry Blossom Teas around town, and all of them are great, but we have always especially loved the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, which again hosts its Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea in the Loggia overlooking the cherry blossom trees in the Courtyard. Served on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Sunday, April 13th, guests will enjoy an enchanting menu of savory and sweet cherry delights. ($110 per adult, includes a glass of Rosé Chandon. Tea for Children age 5-12 is $65 each and includes sparkling cider.)
The St. Regis’s Tea is also notable, available Wednesdays through Sundays, through May 18, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at $119 per person.
Cherry Blossom Dessert Wheel
The St. Regis Bar & Lounge also has one of the most creative ways to savor cherry blossom-themed desserts and Champagne — a Wheel! Delight in an array of intricately decorated desserts displayed on a playful and interactive gold Ferris wheel tower, priced at $150 for two guests. The cherry blossom dessert wheel is available through May 18, Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and includes one dessert tower for two and two glasses of Champagne.

Find Off-the-Beaten Path Blossoms
While most people crowd to the Tidal Basin, which is a lovely place to see the blossoms, we’ve always loved checking them out in bonus parts of town — like Congressional Cemetery, or Georgetown’s Dumbarton Oaks. In the heart of D.C.’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, this historic estate lets cherry blossom enthusiasts experience bloom without the crowds… but even if the trees have finished flowering, your ticket to Dumbarton Oaks also gets you a tour of the vast gardens, and access to the grounds.

Cruise the Potomac
We’ve long said that one of the best way sto enjoy the beauty of the blossoms is from the water, from even if the flowering has finished and petals have dropped, it’s STILL spectacular to be on a boat. So hop aboard any of Sea Suite Cruises boats – including the Paddle Club, TikiBoat, or even Whitlow’s on Water to enjoy the view and vibe.
