Latest at The Wharf: Lupo Marino Opens
The “wolf of the sea” opened this week at The Wharf. An intimate restaurant that serves Southern Italian “street food” on the Southwest Waterfront, Lupo Marino will have you craving its pizzas, pastas and paninis with a view.
The restaurant features a main dining room, bar and large communal table. An outdoor patio accommodates additional guests during the spring and summer months (weather permitting).
We love the Uovo Salad (with duck egg, asparagus, rocket and bottarga); Tagliatelle (with blue crab, Calabrian chile and lemon parsley gremolata); and the house special pizza — Lupo Marino Pizza — made with porchetta, roasted pepper relish, broccolini and pecorino.
It’s location in the thick of all of the Wharf’s wonders is pretty fab, too.
Lupo Marino is located within The Wharf development at 40 Pearl Street, SW, Washington, D.C 20024. It’s situated just three blocks from the Waterfront-SEU Metro accessible on the green line. The restaurant is open daily, from 11 AM to 11 PM.
