The DowntownDC Holiday Market, a beloved city tradition, is back for its 2025 edition, promising an expanded and elevated experience that has something for everyone. From local artisans offering unique, handcrafted goods to festive food trucks serving everything from hot chocolate to Japanese-style cheesesteaks, the market is annually a go-to destination for holiday shopping and seasonal fun.
Set against the backdrop of F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets NW, the market opens its doors daily from November 21 through December 23. Whether you’re looking to score the perfect gift, indulge in a warm treat, or enjoy a festive drink, the market will be brimming with opportunities. Mark your calendars: this year’s event promises over 115 local vendors, live entertainment, creative workshops, and much more.
Some new features for 2025 include 20+ new first-time participants helping to comprise the over 115 curated vendors filling the market with everything from hand-forged jewelry to gourmet candies, holiday décor, and cozy winter fashions. (Local gems like the DC Makers’ Guild, Heidi Pix, and Blue Moon Aquarius are set to bring fresh, unique perspectives to the holiday scene.) There’s truly something for every taste and budget.
For those with a sweet tooth (and who doesn’t have one during the holidays?), the market will feature 15 festive food vendors offering mouthwatering treats. From the viral, marshmallow-topped hot chocolate from S’mores N’ More to the hearty, authentic German-inspired fare from The Taste of Germany, there’s no shortage of deliciousness to tempt your taste buds. New for 2025? A mouthwatering Japanese-style cheesesteak from Daikaya’s Kat’s King of Steaks, plus a visit from the beloved (and nearby!) Carmine’s. And don’t miss a cozy stop at the Winter Chalet by Dirty Habit, which serves up artisan cocktails, spiked cocoa, and mulled wine — perfect for toasting the season.
In addition to shopping and eating, the DowntownDC Holiday Market has tons of fun activations for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re looking to create something special or simply take in the holiday vibes, the Dov Co. Craft CafĂ© is the place to be. Here, both kids and adults can participate in creative workshops that will spark your inner artisan. For a more whimsical experience, head over to the DC Dream Wall, a large chalkboard installation where you can share your holiday hopes and wishes with the community.
