Cirque du Soleil’s Varekai Clowns Around in Fairfax, Virginia

Since its premiere in 2002, Cirque du Soleil’s Varekai has visited over 72 cities in 20 different countries across the world. Now, the critically-acclaimed production can mark another city off its ever growing list — the DC area’s very own Fairfax, Virginia!

Set deep within a forest at the summit of a volcano, Varekai follows the adventures of a solitary young man who parachutes from the sky. There he is met by a world of mystical creatures who dazzle the crowd with heart-stopping aerial performances and acrobatics that quite literally defy gravity.

Varekai: Tales of the Forest will be playing at the EagleBank Arena (formerly the Patriot Center) from July 22 – 26, 2015.
